BIO:
Hi there! My name is Deanne, and I'm a three-month-old Terrier/American Pit Bull mix weighing about seven pounds. I'm in great health and will be spayed soon. I was rescued alongside my littermate from the Imperial Valley Shelter, and now I'm ready to find a loving forever home!
My foster family says I'm an incredibly sweet, easygoing puppy with a calm and independent personality. While I enjoy playing with doggie friends of all sizes, I'm also perfectly happy doing my own thing - whether that's exploring the yard, lounging in the sunshine, or finding the perfect spot to plop down for a nap. In fact, naps are one of my specialties!

Like most puppies, I'm currently teething, but I redirect very well and much prefer chewing on my toys and teething bones. I absolutely love sunbathing on my back and can often be found soaking up the warmth whenever I get the chance.

I'm a confident little girl who enjoys meeting new people and adapts quickly to familiar faces. Loud noises outside don't bother me, and I'm curious rather than fearful when I encounter new things. I don't know my name quite yet, but I'll happily come running when someone whistles for me. I also enjoy being held and will gladly fall asleep in your arms.

I'm very dog-friendly and love spending time with dogs of all ages and sizes. I currently live with my sister, and we enjoy playing and cuddling together, but I'm also perfectly comfortable being separated from her. I have shown no signs of aggression or resource guarding. I haven't met any cats yet, but because I have such a gentle demeanor and very little prey drive, I would likely do well with feline friends. I haven't spent time with children yet either, but I adore people and would likely fit right in with a loving family.

As for training, I'm doing wonderfully with potty habits and go outside every hour or two during the day without accidents. I'm still learning to hold my bladder overnight, which is very normal for a puppy my age. I haven't started leash walks yet and currently use a playpen rather than a crate. When left alone, I settle down quietly and go right to sleep - no whining, no fuss, and no signs of separation anxiety.

Overall, I'm a sweet, calm, and independent puppy who is eager to learn and easy to love. My gentle temperament and laid-back personality will make training a breeze as I grow. I would do well in just about any home, especially one that can provide the time, patience, and love needed to help me become the best version of myself. Since I'm pretty low-energy for a puppy, I don't require a lot of activity - just a family to call my own.

My adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an application!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
