Maple can be a little shy when she first meets new people, but it does not take long for her soft, sweet personality to shine through, especially if treats or a pup cup are involved! Once she knows she is safe, she turns into a total lovebug who wants to be close to her people, soak up affection, and be part of the family.
She is good with other dogs and has also done well with kids, even younger ones. Maple has a gentle, loving nature and would do well in a home that can give her the patience, structure, and consistency she deserves while she continues to settle in.

Maple is currently going through heartworm treatment, but she can be adopted locally as long as her adopters understand the importance of following her treatment protocol. That means keeping her calm, limiting activity as directed, and helping her get through this final step toward a healthy future.
