LUCY - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Rochester, Indiana

Hi, I'm Lucy!

I'm a 6-month-old mixed breed puppy, and I'm officially ready to find the family I'll get to grow up with! I'm currently 33 pounds (and growing!)

My mama showed up as a stray while she was pregnant, and thankfully, a kind family took her in and gave her a safe place to have me and my siblings. Now my next adventure is finding a forever home of my very own!

Being a young pup, I'm currently good with other dogs, cats, and kiddos! Continued positive socialization will be important as I grow to help make sure I stay the friendly, well-rounded girl I am today.

Of course, adopting a puppy means getting the whole puppy package! I'll need someone willing to work with me on potty training, house training, manners, boundaries, and all the other things I need to learn along the way. I'm still figuring out how this whole “being a dog” thing works, so patience and consistency are a must.

Most importantly, I need a family who understands that while I'm an adorable puppy today, I'm a lifelong commitment. I'm looking for someone who will love me through the puppy chaos, the teenage shenanigans, adulthood, and eventually my sweet senior years.

Spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100

Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. Please allow 24-36 hours for a response. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet & greet! Any other dogs in the home must come along and some dogs may require all family members to come as well! If it's a match, you can your new dog home the same day.

We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!
