Meet Kira – Your Oversized Lap Dog with a Heart of Gold
Kira is a beautiful 21⁄2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing in at 72 lbs of love (and yes... she's working on shedding a few of those extra snack pounds ).
Originally adopted in 2023, Kira has found her way back to the farm through no fault of her own. At Furry Farm, we are committed to our dogs for life—no matter what. Now, we're focused on finding Kira the best possible forever fit, where she can truly thrive.
This girl is smart as a whip and eager to please, especially if treats are involved! She's very trainable and would truly shine with a basic obedience class to help polish her already great manners.
Kira is:
100% house trained
Wonderful on a leash (currently walks best with a prong collar)
Great in the car – calm, relaxed, and happy to ride along
Good with dog-savvy cats
Raised with young children
She's got that classic “puppy at heart” personality—meaning she sometimes forgets she's a 72-pound girl and may get a little mouthy during play, but it's never aggressive. Just a happy, goofy pup who still has a little growing up to do.
Above all, Kira is incredibly loving. She thrives on attention, cuddles, and being part of the family. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily be your shadow (and your couch buddy), Kira is your girl.
