Like a character stepping onto the pages of a new story, I arrived here as a frightened little waif, shaking and uncertain about this strange new world. But even in those early moments, I showed glimmers of the brave spirit within me. I accepted gentle offerings of kindness, tolerated the necessary exams with patience, and slowly began to trust the caring hands around me. I may be young with much of my story still to be written, but I have all the potential to become a devoted companion.
