According to my former family my mom was a Pit Bull and my dad was a Shih Tzu. As you can imagine, I turn a lot of heads while out on my walks. Some may say I look "weird", but I am proud to stand out in the crowd! My uncommon breed mix actually allows me to experience the best of both worlds - I will play with my tuff tug but also cuddle up on your lap for affection.
I am not always keen on sharing my toys during playtime and am working with the staff to understand that I don't need to feel defensive over my possessions. They suspect that I may not have had anything to call my own in my previous home and therefore feel the need to protect my stuffies now that I have them. Due to this behavior, the staff has determined that I am best suited for a home with teens and adults. I do not have an issue coexisting with the other pups here but may have a bit of a hard time sharing my possessions with them. For adopters with a resident dog, please keep in mind that we will need a slow introduction to the concept of sharing. I am a bright and eager student and will surely impress you with my ability to learn new things. Just give me a chance and you won't be disappointed!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
