DESCRIPTION
Meet Caramel, a pup just as sweet as his name implies! At nearly 70 lbs., he is a gentle giant looking for a home to help him gain confidence. Caramel came to us when his previous owner was no longer able to take care of him, and he is adjusting well to life here in the shelter. He can be shy when meeting new people, but he will warm up quick and be the most loyal boy you've ever known if you give him a shot. He's had fun playing with politer dogs here, so he might enjoy having another gentle dog in his new home. He did previously live with cats, but he liked to chase them, so he may not be a great fit for homes with small animals. He has made significant progress towards housetraining while in care, and he comes enrolled in a Best Paw Forward training session to set him up for success in his next home. Caramel is an absolute sweetheart, and whoever adds this boy to their family is going to be VERY lucky!!!!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
