Mala - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Mala may be a senior lady, but this sweet grey-and-white gal still has plenty of pep in her step-and sparkle in her smile! Mala is the kind of girl who's happiest simply being with her people. She enjoys taking things easy, walks nicely on leash, and has the most adorable facial expressions that she'll flash up at you while you're out together... just in case you forgot how happy she is to be by your side!

Mala arrived at the city shelter after being found as a stray, so we unfortunately don't know much about her life before she came into our care. But she has been a wonderfully friendly girl with everyone she meets, and around other dogs, Mala tends to keep things pretty low-key, making her a potential match for a fellow mellow four-legged friend. Or, she'd also be more than happy to be your one-and-only leading lady for the rest of her rocking retirement!

Mala is currently on a weight loss journey, and she'd love an active family who can help her keep moving and grooving toward a healthy weight. She also has a mass on one of her back legs that is believed to be a large skin tag, and no further treatment is recommended at this time. However, her adopter should still plan to maintain a relationship with a full-service veterinarian so she can receive the routine care and monitoring she deserves as she continues gracefully into her next chapters.

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.
