Chupi - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Meet Chupi ACCT-A-265528. Chupi was brought to ACCT on 10/22 after his owner had sadly passed away. Chupi himself has lived quite the life as he is 13 years old! Even though this man is 13, he still has so much life left and so much left to see. Due to him being up there in age, Chupi does have significant fur loss, weight loss and some vision loss. Chupi is looking for a place where he can spend his wonder years, could that be your living room?

Medical:

Per Medical staff 10/22:
-Severe diffuse alopecia, erythema, and dryness - r/o allergies vs endocrine vs other
- Severe corneal neovascularization OU
-Musculoskeletal: Overgrown nails. Poor muscling. Ambulatory x4, no lameness. Brief orthopedic exam performed.
-EENT: Severe corneal neovascularization, incomplete cataracts, serous ocular discharge OU. No nasal/aural discharge.
Oral: Mild dental calculus, no apparent oral masses or foreign bodies
-Behavior- QAR, friendly, tolerant
Musclewasted - Alopecia on all over, focused on hind

Per Staff 10/22:
I said hi to Chupi today when taking him out for a meet with Bayonetta! He is a sweet, tolerant guy who allows pets and seems to go with the flow. He was pretty relaxed and indifferent during his meet with Bayonetta, going up for a sniff and then disengaging on his own to sniff around on the floor. He does seem to be a bit vision-impaired, as my hand approaching him for some pets after his meet caught him off-guard a bit. Overall a sweet boy!

I went to go get a good picture of this young man. When i found him in his kennel, he was about half asleep. i could tell right away that this baby has lived a life. He did acknowledge that i was there, but showed no interest in introducing himself or interacting with me. i gave him a few gentle strokes and left him to go back to sleep
