Buzz - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Buzz is an approximately 8-year-old, 8.5 lb little guy who came into the shelter as a stray on 9/26 after the owner unfortunately passed away. Buzz came in with his friend, Woody. They appear to be bonded, and we would love to see them stay together if possible. Buzz is a little timid in the shelter, but he has been easy to medically handle and is currently ambulatory with no noted lameness.

Buzz does have some medical needs that will require follow-up. He has severe dental disease and will need a dental cleaning with likely extractions. He also has a large, soft mass/swelling on his ventral thorax/abdomen. ACCT recommends surgical removal for diagnosis and prognosis, as well as to improve his comfort. He is currently approved for adoption with an adopter who is willing and financially able to pursue his dental care and mass removal.

Buzz is looking for a rescue or adopter who can give him the time, patience, and veterinary care he needs. If possible, Buzz and Woody would love to find a home together!

Large soft swelling/mass on ventral thorax/abdomen; surgical removal recommended for diagnosis/prognosis and comfort. Nuclear sclerosis noted in both eyes. Fleas noted on intake. BCS 5/9; MCS 3/3

9/26 during initial intake exam: Coat dirty with fleas (gave treatment). Teeth stained with tartar. Bright, alert, responsive and Timid.
