Hero - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Palm Springs, California

Hero has already won a lot of hearts-and once you meet him, it's easy to see why.

This happy young puppy greets new people with a wagging tail, loves belly rubs, enjoys his toys, and simply wants to be close to the people he loves. He has a gentle spirit, an eagerness to please, and a resilience that's nothing short of inspiring.

Hero was recently featured as one of our Love Fund recipients after visiting a veterinary neurologist to better understand a condition affecting his spine. He has been diagnosed with a subarachnoid diverticulum, which causes him to walk with an unusual gait and limits his control over his bowel and bladder. While he's making encouraging progress, we don't yet know how much he will continue to improve.

Hero is looking for a family willing to invest a little extra time in his care, including continuing his potty training with plenty of patience and positive reinforcement. He'll go home with the medication needed to complete his current treatment, and our team will help guide his adopter through the next steps.
