Schnappi - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Normal, Illinois

Meet Schnappi, the cutest little crocodile this side of Germany! Schnappi is a playful little guy with plenty of personality and approximately zero interest in sitting still for very long.

Born around July 16, 2026, this mixed breed pup currently weighs 13 pounds. Schnappi is a confident, outgoing puppy who loves to play, chew, run around the house, romp in the yard, and wrestle with his dog friends. He’s also doing great in his crate and sleeps there in the bedroom at night. House training is a work in progress because, well...he’s a baby!

Schnappi has been good with dogs of all sizes, ages and genders in his foster home. He is also doing well with the cat. He hasn’t been exposed to children yet, and since this little crocodile is currently teething, older kids may be the better match for now. Like many puppies, Schnappi is still learning that his favorite toys and tasty treats are meant to be shared, so his family will need to continue helping him practice good puppy manners. He also enjoys car rides, which is perfect because every good crocodile needs a few adventures.

If you're looking for a fun-loving puppy with a big personality packed into a 13-pound body, Schnappi might just be your guy. Just be prepared for puppy teeth, puppy energy, puppy training...and a whole lot of cuteness! His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
