**Meet Oxiel**

Oxiel is a 2-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart looking for a patient and understanding family to help him discover just how wonderful life can be.

Oxiel is a shy boy who takes a little time to warm up to new people and unfamiliar places. Big changes can feel overwhelming for him, so he's hoping to find a family that will let him settle in at his own pace without expecting too much too soon. The greatest gift you can give Oxiel is the time to decompress and realize that he's finally safe.

As his confidence grows, so will your bond. There's something incredibly special about earning the trust of a shy dog, and Oxiel is the kind of dog who will reward your patience with quiet loyalty and unconditional love. Every small milestone—his first tail wag, the first time he asks for pets, or the moment he chooses to lay beside you—will be worth celebrating.

Oxiel would do best in a calm home where he can build a routine, gain confidence, and continue learning that people can be kind. With patience, consistency, and love, we know this handsome boy has all the potential to become an amazing companion.

Oxiel will be flying to Morristown, New Jersey at the end of August, and we would love nothing more than for his forever family to be there waiting to welcome him home.
