Sometimes life changes, but that doesn't mean the love disappears. After a year and a half in his adoptive home, Russel is coming back to Save Monroe Strays-and we have a feeling his next chapter is going to be a GREAT one!

At about 50 pounds, Russel is the perfect size-not too big, not too small, and just the right size for all your adventures. His owner says he has SO much good going on, and we couldn't agree more!

He's easygoing, happy, and ready to be someone's best friend. He would absolutely THRIVE with an active, outdoorsy family. Think hiking trails, camping trips, backyard ball sessions, car rides, and a whole lot of exploring together.

And here's the really great part-Russel is a social guy! He can be around men, women, children, dogs, cats, and other animals. He currently lives with another dog and two cats. The older dog used to love playing with him, but unfortunately, their play has become a little too rough and aggressive as the other dog has gotten older. So, through no fault of his own, it's time for Russel to find a home where everyone can be happy and comfortable.

He's also already up to date on his vaccines, having been to the vet in April. He's got his 3-year rabies vaccine, receives ProHeart 12 once a year for heartworm prevention, and he's already licensed with Monroe Animal Control.

Honestly? Russel sounds like the kind of dog who is ready to grab a tennis ball, hop in the car, and say, "Where are we going?"

And if you're reading this thinking, "I love him, but I'm not quite ready to commit to adoption yet..."-we'd love to hear from you anyway! We would be very happy to entertain the idea of someone fostering Russel while he gets settled back into rescue. Who knows? Russel's return isn't the end of his story-it's just the beginning of his next adventure. And we're pretty sure it's going to be a good one.
