Rocco - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Mississauga, Ontario

ROCCO - Lab-Mix / 1.5 Years / 25kg / M-Neutered

Rocco and his sister Polly were rescued together from the streets as tiny puppies. Luckily they were brought to the safety of the shelter to help protect them from the elements.

Growing up in the shelter Rocco can be described as 'an old soul' as he seems very mature despite his young age. He has a calm and independent demeanor, and is able to pick up on new instruction with ease. Rocco is affectionate and comfortable with both people and other dogs and has not yet been tested with cats or children.

Rocco's perfect home would include a dog pal for companionship, and access to a backyard or green space. We'll post more about Rocco when he arrives in November and his foster parents get to know him.

Rocco's adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
