Trig (fka Tig) - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Trig is a handsome 2-year-old brindle mixed-breed boy with a heart as big as his 75-pound frame. This sweet, gentle soul has overcome more challenges than most dogs ever will, and through it all he has remained loving, trusting, and eager to make friends wherever he goes.

Trig is house-trained, gets along well with other dogs, and is wonderfully gentle with children. He enjoys the simple things in life--long stroller rides, cozy naps, and spending time with his people and canine companions. When he sees his stroller come out, his excitement is impossible to miss!

Trig is currently recovering from a traumatic injury that resulted in the amputation of his front right leg, followed by several surgeries. He still requires daily wound care and medication as he continues to heal, but he navigates his home and yard surprisingly well on three legs. His exercise is currently limited, though he enjoys getting out and about on stroller walks while he recovers.

Despite the hardships he's endured, Trig remains incredibly kind and resilient. He loves people, shows interest in other dogs, and is beginning to reveal what an engaging, social companion he'll be once he's fully healed. His name was changed from Tig to Trig--both as a nod to trigonometry and in honor of the three legs that now carry him through life.

The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
