DESCRIPTION

Hey future human, I'm three-month-old Samba (aka Orange Kitty, aka Toasty as in toasty marshmallow). Everyone who meets me has a great name for me, but my favorite name so far is "fastest cat in town"!

Yep, that's right! I'm fast, super-fast! I love to hide and when humans come into my room dart out as fast as I can. I'm also very athletic! I'm really good at jumping, cartwheels, flips, really all think parkour. I'm great at chasing toys and carrying them around. My foster human says I'll be really good at playing fetch someday. Ya know I'm an orange cat, so I've got a lot to live up to!

The most important things you should know about me: I LOVE to play. I'm 100% kitten energy; I must have another playful cat who can match my high energy. I love humans big and small. It's important to note, when I'm playing, I don't want to be held, that's what sleep time is for.

I did test positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). My mom was an outside cat and is FIV positive. As a kitten, I could be FIV positive or it could just be that my mom's antibodies caused me to have a false positive test. My adopter would have to adopt me knowing I could be either FIV positive or negative. My adopter would have to be committed to testing me at 6 months old to be certain. Even if I am FIV+, that doesn't mean I can't live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. You can read more about FIV here: https://tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj

Because I'm just a little guy, I will need to be adopted with one of my siblings, or to a home with an active, young resident cat who can show me the ropes as I grow up.

I'm getting neutered June 6 and I'm able to go to my forever home 5 days later!
