Medical Needs: Remainder of puppy shots and rabies vaccine once old enough. Must be neutered by the end of September 2026. The appointment is included in the adoption fee at one of the clinics we use and the foster-to-adopt family will need to email GRR to request the appointment when puppy is 18-20 weeks at the clinic closest to them. (Options are Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Georgetown.) Keeping the appointment that's assigned by the clinic will be a condition of adoption. Foster-to-adopt families must live within one hour of DE and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment.

Housebroken: Working on that now and doing a great job!

Crate trained: Sleeps all night in crate next to foster mom. Working on crate training during the day, she does not like to be alone.

Good in car: Cries and whines in the car. Does not get sick so hopefully will outgrow the crying.

Good on leash: No experience yet, she is very little.

Energy level: Medium. Normal puppy playfulness. She loves to play but also gets tired pretty quickly.

Need a fenced in yard: No, but she would love one.

Dog friendly: Yes, she loves dogs!

If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? No, but she would love one as she does not like to be alone.

Cat friendly: Unknown.

Kid Friendly: Yes, fostered with teenagers, loves everyone!

Any age with proper supervision. She does have those sharp puppy teeth!

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know: Mesa has completely stolen the hearts of everyone in her foster home. She is super sweet, she has eyes that will melt you and an adorable personality to match. Mesa loves to be right in the middle of everything going on, she doesn't mind being held one bit. If you leave her alone she will bark and cry. She's the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, always ready for fun and then happy to curl up for snuggles afterward. She is a very special girl and and deserves a loving family to call her own.
