Seamus was once on the MAS euthanasia list when his mom, Phyllis, a 77-year-old retired Bartlett teacher who used a wheelchair, saved him.
For two beautiful years, Seamus was Phyllis's devoted companion, protector, and best friend. He seemed to understand exactly what she needed. He stayed close, was incredibly obedient, never jumped on her, and was always loving.
When Phyllis once fell from her wheelchair and firefighters came to help, Seamus cautiously watched them, making sure they could be trusted with his mom. The next time they came to help, he remembered them and actually greeted them at the door and led them straight to Phyllis.
He was a truly cherished baby, even having his own custom pearl necklace and special food bowl. His mom made sure he was well cared for and up to date on everything.
Sadly, Phyllis has passed away, leaving Seamus without the person who was his whole world. Before her passing, she asked that he either find a loving family or be put down.
We want to give Seamus the first option.
