Jax - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Madison, Wisconsin

Jax spent 2 days with another foster home, and 1 day with me. This is what we know. Jax was surrendered due to being high energy; but, for me, his energy level is very normal. He seems quite intelligent, making him alert and very aware of his surroundings. For the temp foster, he was more energetic/playful, perhaps because there was another dog in the home (unlike myself). He mostly follows me around, loves to cuddle, barks at sounds, and relaxes by chewing on a rawhide. He will nap when I am also relaxing. He sleeps well through the nights, i let him sleep on a dog bed in my bedroom. He doesn't like to be in the crate and will wine. He loves to stay near me, and listens to my commands. He is very attentive to everything around him, which may lead to barking. He will reduce barking if I ask him to. He loves to take walks, pulls some on the leash, easy to correct by choking up on leash or increasing pace to a jog. He plays well with other dogs. He met a 3 year old for 20 min, on leash, and was not reactive to the child (no change in behavior). He is confident, tail up most of the time. He likes to explore his surroundings, but always keeps humans at the center. He eats well. Totally housetrained. He rides excellently in the car, and is very easy to bathe.

Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $375. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $450. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $275. Our adoption fee for bonded adult dogs is $550.
