Poppy is around 2 years old, 40 pounds, and the kind of dog who loves her people **HARD**.

At home, Poppy is honestly a dream. She is fully housebroken, sleeps in her crate at night, and stays in her crate when her fosters leave during the day without making a single peep. She knows sit, down, crate, and come, and she isn’t a chewer... unless you count stuffed toys, because those are VERY serious business. She loves carrying them from room to room, squeaking them, tossing them around, and making everyone laugh.

Poppy also LOVES other dogs. She plays constantly with her foster sister and is really good at matching another dog’s energy and play style. Having a dog friend gives her confidence, too, so **Poppy needs to go to a home with another dog.**

She’s a medium-energy girl. She definitely needs to get her wiggles out, whether that’s zoomies in the backyard, playing with her dog sibling, or going for a hike, but she doesn’t need someone walking her 10 miles a day.

The thing to know about Poppy is that she’s an anxious gal out in the world. New people can be scary, and coffee shops, breweries, farmers markets and other busy social places are probably not on her bingo card right now. She needs someone who understands that confidence takes time and is willing to keep helping her learn that people and the outside world aren’t so scary.

But give Poppy the time to trust you and ohhhh man, does she love you. She looks at her people like they are the most important thing in the entire world. She wants to be near you, she wants to know what you’re doing, and once you’re one of *her people*, you are REALLY her person.

And we think being loved like that is pretty worth skipping the brewery for a while.
