Fern is available through our Foster to Forever (FTF) Program rather than our standard adoption process. Please read all information below in its entirety before applying.

To apply, please complete the Foster to Forever application. The application begins with a page titled "Your Animal Information." Please enter Fern there - that page is asking which of our puppies you would like to bring home, not about a pet you already own. Enter Fern again further down, where the form asks which LAWS puppy you are applying for.

Fern
Fern is a sweet, gentle puppy who came to LAWS from the Wind River Reservation. She is beginning her journey toward finding a forever family through our Foster to Forever Program, where she has the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and gaining confidence in a home environment.
Fern has a sweet, easygoing personality and is more than ready to find a real home to call her own. She is a thoughtful little pup who takes the world in with wise, observant eyes, soaking up everything around her. Social and friendly, Fern absolutely loves the company of other dogs and cats, happily fitting right in with a multi-pet household. She would do best with a family ready to give her a little love, guidance, and a stable place to truly blossom.

Like most puppies her age, Fern loves to explore, play, and learn about her surroundings. She enjoys hanging out with her furry companions and will benefit from continued positive socialization as she grows. She is still learning puppy manners, including potty training, and will need a family committed to providing patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
We estimate Fern was born around June 1, 2026.

Because these puppies came from the Wind River Reservation and we do not have previous history on them, we are unsure of their breed mix.

Important Notice - This Puppy is Available Through Our Foster to Forever (FTF) Program

This puppy is available exclusively through the Laramie Animal Welfare Society's Foster to Forever (FTF) Program. The adoption process will begin through the FTF Program; however, the adoption will not be finalized until all required veterinary care has been completed, including the mandatory spay/neuter procedure at 16 weeks of age.
The Foster to Forever Program is designed for young puppies who are not yet old enough to complete their required spay/neuter surgery. Approved FTF families will welcome the puppy into their home as a foster with the intention of adopting.
Before applying, please understand:
Applicants must reside in Albany County, Wyoming.
FTF families must be committed to fostering the puppy with the intention of adopting.
The puppy will remain under LAWS' care and legal responsibility until all required veterinary requirements are completed and the adoption is finalized.
FTF families are responsible for providing the puppy's daily care, including food, treats, and supplies during the program period.
Families must attend all scheduled LAWS veterinary appointments, including booster vaccinations and the mandatory spay/neuter procedure at 16 weeks of age, and maintain regular communication with their Adoption Coordinator throughout the program.
