Meet Little Danny! This 1-year-old, 40-pound bundle of energy is ready to find an active family to keep up with his adventurous spirit! Little Danny came to us on an ASPCA transport from a shelter in Kentucky and has been patiently waiting since July 1st, 2026 for a home of his very own.


Little Danny is a fun-loving young dog with a true zest for life. Whether he's chasing after a ball, entertaining himself with a favorite stuffy, or soaking up attention from his people, he's always ready for the next adventure. One of his sweetest quirks is giving gentle little chin nibbles while he showers you with face kisses-a sure sign that he's happy to be with you! He already seems to know "sit" and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training as he grows into a well-mannered adult.


As an athletic, high-energy dog, Little Danny will thrive with a family that can provide plenty of daily physical exercise and mental enrichment. His excitement for life can sometimes come out through typical young-dog mouthy behavior, so we recommend that all children meet him prior to adoption to ensure he's a good fit for the family. When meeting another dog here at the shelter, Little Danny was thrilled to make a new friend. He may enjoy having a canine playmate who shares his enthusiasm and can keep up with his playful energy.
