DESCRIPTION
Meet Gretel! She is an 8-month-old beautiful medium-sized girl, weighing around 30 pounds and still growing, who's ready to find a loving home to call her own. She originally came to us from a shelter in Tennessee, and she's been patiently waiting since 5/1 for her chance at a fresh start.
Gretel is a very sweet girl with a gentle nature. She has been understandably overwhelmed in the shelter environment and may take some time to adjust and feel comfortable in new situations. She would benefit from a patient and understanding adopter who can help her build confidence at her own pace. Once she settles in, her loving personality is sure to shine.
We ask that all family members meet her prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. Gretel has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter, though she may need a little time to warm up. Continued positive socialization and training classes could be a great way to help her grow into a more confident companion.
Gretel is a wonderful young pup who is ready to share her love with the right family. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you're interested in meeting Gretel or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
