Hi... I'm Lady. But my friends call me Ladybird

(Or Ladybug... or Lady Girl... or My Lady... or Lady Luck-honestly, I answer to all of them because I just really love being talked to.)

I'm about 10 years old, but don't let that number fool you-I'm living my best "10 going on 3" life. I've got a playful spirit, a wiggly boxer-style booty, and a serious love for toys, walks, and-my personal favorite-car rides. If you say "let's go," I'm already at the door.

My foster mom says I'm a "mullet dog"-business in the front, party in the back. I've got a sweet, soulful face with big brown eyes... and then a whole lot of wiggle and joy happening behind me. It's kind of my signature move.

I'm about 45 pounds of short, sturdy love, and I really love my humans. I'll happily be your shadow, leaning into you (sometimes I think I might be part cat because I like to rub against you). I'm also a professional cuddler and generous with kisses-just part of my charm.

I spent most of my life as an outdoor girl, so now I'm fully embracing the good life: couches, soft beds, and yes... I do believe pillows are meant for dogs too. If you let me, I'll sleep with my head right next to yours.

Toys are my absolute favorite. Right now, I'm obsessed with my chicken and baby chicken toys. I can play for hours-tug, chase, chew-and then I like to gather them around me when I nap. A girl needs her treasures close, you know?

I'm great with people (honestly, I adore them) and I get along just fine with other dogs-I tend to mind my own business. I also enjoy a little quiet "me time" now and then, usually dreaming about my future forever family.

I know "sit" and "no," and I love hearing "Good Girl," "Who's the pretty girl?" and "let's go!" I've got great house manners too-no need to worry about your snacks, I won't take them. I trust that you'll share when it's my turn

I'm currently recovering nicely from a few minor health things, and I'm feeling better every day. I even stood sweetly for my bath and lifted my legs to help-because I like being clean and fresh. A lady has standards.

What I'm really looking for is a home full of love, comfy spots to nap, toys to play with, and humans to adore (and be adored by). I've waited a long time for this chapter... and I'm so ready for my happily ever after.
