Hi there! My name is Thunder and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 2 month old, female small mixed breed. Me and my siblings were found as strays in Santa Maria when we were 1 month old. After a good samaritan brought us to Santa Barbara Humane, I stayed in foster until I was big enough to find my future home!
Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed.
Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission.
Hope to see you soon!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
