Giulia - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption

GIULIA

Mixed Breed
September 2nd
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Meet Giulia, a fun, spunky pup with an incredible zest for life! She loves every single person she comes across, both adults and children. She bonds incredibly quickly and has practically become my Siamese twin as she never leaves my side. As a foster she has been a constant source of companionship, and she would be an amazing addition to any home.
A fun fact about giulia is that she can also live with cats! She defers to them on the house rules and is very respectful of their boundaries.
Giulia came into the shelter with a littermate to whom she was extremely close and who has since been adopted. The separation was traumatic for Giulia, and as a result of this she fears losing someone else she loves. She has separation anxiety that can be overcome with time and patience. As a younger pup Giuliani never had the opportunity to potty train, but with proper training and structured walks she will get there. Giulia can also pull a bit hard and does not understand that not all dogs want to say hi to her, but she is very redirect or and eager to learn.
To sum up, if you want an adorable pup who is a ray of sunshine please consider giving Giulia a shot. With some patience and basic obedience training she will thrive.

Meet Giulia!
Giulia was found with her companion Dee Dee (260988) and is now looking for a quiet place where she can feel safe and settle in. This shy girl can be overwhelmed by new environments, but with patience, gentle encouragement, and time to decompress, she may blossom into a wonderful companion. Giulia is hoping to find someone who understands that the best relationships are built at her own pace.

My Ideal Home
Giulia would do best in a calm, low-pressure home with a patient adopter who will allow her to take things slowly. She should never be forced into interactions and will thrive with someone who respects her boundaries, reads her body language, and celebrates her small steps of confidence.

Good with Other Pets?
Giulia arrived with another dog, Dee Dee (260988), but her history with other animals is otherwise unknown. Slow introductions are recommended when meeting new furry friends.

Good with Kids?
Due to her shy and fearful nature, Giulia would do best in a home without young children. She needs a calm environment where she can build trust at her own pace.

Things to Know
Giulia may take some time to warm up, but a little patience can go a long way with this sensitive girl. She enjoys having the option to approach when she feels comfortable and would appreciate a family who understands that trust is earned one gentle moment at a time.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
