DESCRIPTION

Hi, my name is Wind, and I’m a sweet girl looking for my second chance at a forever home.
Let me tell you a little about myself—I do well with older children (around 10 and up), and I enjoy the company of other large dogs too. I love having fun with chew toys, playing tug, going for walks, and splashing around in the water. I also ride nicely in the car, so I’d be happy to join you on adventures.
I’m house trained and crate trained, so I already know some important home manners.
Most of all, I’m hoping to find a loving family who will give me the fresh start I deserve. If you think we might be a perfect match, come meet me soon. I’ll be waiting!

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.

In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on "Foster Questionnaire."

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.

We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
