Meet Isis - a shy little soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. Isis and her siblings came to us as an unwanted litter, and from the very beginning, it was clear that these puppies hadn't experienced the loving, carefree start to life they deserved. The shelter environment can feel especially overwhelming for Isis. In her kennel, she often cowers and shuts down, unsure of what to make of everything around her. But look a little closer, and you'll see the real Isis.
She will gently take treats from your hand, her tail giving the softest little wag as she gathers the courage to connect. Her sweet, kind eyes seem to say, "I want to trust you. I just need a little time."
When Isis gets outside with her siblings, she begins to come out of her shell. Having the companionship of other dogs helps her feel more comfortable, and we think she would absolutely benefit from having a friendly, confident canine sibling in her future home. A patient doggy friend could help show Isis the ropes, give her confidence, and teach her that being a loved family member is something she can count on!
