Hi, I'm Lizzy

I'm a sweet, friendly girl who just needs a little time to warm up and build trust
I'm great with other dogs, and would really benefit from a dog sibling in my forever home- they help me with my confidence
I love to share toys with my dog friends and my foster mom says although I eat in my crate, she hasn't see any food/resource guarding from me.
I know Sit and I am very treat motivated!
I'm great with the older child in my foster home, but I haven't been around smaller children yet!
I tend to be more comfortable with women and can be shy around men at first
Once I feel safe, I'm very loyal and will happily follow you around like your shadow
Sudden movements and the leash can make me nervous, but I'm gaining confidence every day
I love to rest, relax, and enjoy cozy cuddle time
I'm doing well with house training - a couple accidents my first day, but keeping my crate clean
I don't mind my crate and settle well in it
I've discovered snow and think it's pretty great

I'm looking for a patient, loving home that will help me continue to blossom

As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer.

Expect a response within about a week; please check your spam folder. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!

Requirements And Donations
- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).
- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.
- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.
- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.

Location And Hours
- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 10 AM-4 PM.
