Lefty - Mixed Breed and Hound Dog for Adoption in Festus, Missouri

Meet **Lefty**, the sweetest little low rider with a heart as big as they come.

Lefty is **just over 1 year old** and was rescued from the streets of St. Louis, where she was lovingly nursed back to health. Now this adorable 40-pound girl is ready for the happy ending she deserves! She may be low to the ground, but she is absolutely overflowing with love and joy.

Lefty is **house trained and crate trained** and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, kids, women, and men. She would especially love a home where her family is around often and includes her in their day. Walks, playing ball, hanging out with her people, and lots of snuggles are pretty much her dream life.

And when we say she is a snuggler, we mean it! Lefty loves being close to her people and soaking up all the love she can get.

This girl has been through so much, yet she is still one of the happiest, sweetest, most loving dogs you will ever meet. Lefty truly deserves an amazing family who will love her just as much as she will love them.

I can also make this a little shorter and punchier for a Facebook adoption post if you want.

The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
