Breezy - In Foster! - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia

Meet Breezy the fluffy, 14lb, velcro dog! If you’ve ever wanted a tiny shadow who thinks you hung the moon, Breezy is your girl. This cream-and-brown fluffball with floppy ears and a glorious tail has absolutely no concept of personal space when it comes to "her" person, and it’s adorable. She loves to sit right next to you, rest her little snout against you, and stare deeply into your eyes like she’s memorizing her favorite face. Breezy is wonderfully affectionate and has already shown her foster that car rides are best spent trying to climb into your lap for extra snuggles (she’s safely restrained, of course). On walks, she prefers to keep her inner circle small and is learning that she can be confident without worrying about every stranger who passes by. In her foster home she bonded with the resident dog and was curious about but respected the space of a few foster kittens.

Breezy came to the shelter as a stray. Upon arrival her coat was pretty matted but after a bath and some TLC, she’s silky, shiny, and somehow even more huggable! Breezy has some leash experience and is still perfecting her skills; she can get a little spooked if the leash tugs suddenly and is known to zig-zag herself into funny little tangles. If you’re looking for an adult, pint-sized companion who wants to be your loyal velcro dog, stick close, and make every couch, car seat, and quiet moment a snuggle session, Breezy is ready to claim you as her person!

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!
