Introducing Skye!

This beautiful — and also somewhat hilarious-looking — little girl is about 5 months old and 24 pounds of happy, playful puppy.

Skye loves other dogs and is currently completely befuddled by cats. She hasn't quite figured out what they're for yet. Meanwhile, the pigs, chickens, and ducks in the pasture next to her fenced backyard are providing endless entertainment. Apparently, foster care comes with its own live-action nature channel.

At night, Skye sleeps politely in her crate, and she's quickly learning the household routine and making great progress with house training.

As for her breed? We have absolutely no idea. Your guess is as good as ours. What we do know is that she has gorgeous blue eyes, a stunning brindle coat, and is currently in that glorious puppy stage where she is approximately 90% legs, angles, and spectacularly funny ears. Whether all of these assorted parts eventually grow into the same dog remains to be seen.

Skye was pulled from an overcrowded local shelter, and now she's ready to find a family of her own. She's sweet, social, playful, and just an all-around delightful little puppy who should fit beautifully into a home looking for a fun young companion.

And really, those ears alone deserve a home.
