Meet Sandy, a 6–8 month old, 34 lb mixed breed puppy with a permanent smile and an absolutely contagious enthusiasm for life! Sandy seems to have a condition we like to call RSF (Resting Smile Face), and it's impossible not to smile right back at her. As for her breed, your guess is as good as ours! Sandy was dumped, and we never saw either of her parents, so her ancestry is a complete mystery. What we DO know is that she's 100% adorable!
Sandy recently moved into a foster home, and she's having the time of her life discovering all the wonderful things that come with being part of a family. She loves other dogs and has been having a blast playing with her new foster siblings. She's an energetic, fun-loving girl who enjoys a good romp but also knows how to settle down and relax afterward. She's learning to share her toys and even her beloved crate, which she considers her own cozy little hideaway. She loves having a safe space to call her own and is becoming more comfortable and confident every day.
One of the most impressive things about Sandy is that she hasn't had a single potty accident since arriving at her foster home! She previously lived outdoors, so she's already accustomed to doing her business outside. She's also a big fan of chew toys and an even BIGGER fan of food. Mealtime is a major event in Sandy's world, and she approaches every bowl with the enthusiasm of someone who has never eaten before in her entire life!
Sandy is still a puppy, so she'll need a family willing to continue teaching her good manners and helping her grow into the wonderful adult dog she's destined to become. She's smart, adaptable, and eager to embrace everything life has to offer. Her foster family is also looking forward to introducing her to cats, so we'll know more about her feline compatibility soon.
Sandy is scheduled to be spayed on Tuesday, October 27, and will soon be ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a forever family. She's a happy, resilient girl who seems genuinely delighted by her new life. Now she just needs the one thing that would make that smile even bigger: a family of her very own!
If you're looking for a playful, cheerful companion who will make you laugh and remind you to enjoy the little things, Sandy might be your girl. Apply to adopt her today!
