Springer - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Ellijay, Georgia

Oh Springer, you handsome fellow! This brindle boy is an estimated 3.5 year old, 54 pound mixed breed male who is available for adoption at the Gilmer County Animal Shelter.

Springer loves people and is very affectionate - he can't get enough human contact. He is working on his leash walking skills, and is making good progress. Honestly, he just wants hugs and love.

Springer:
LOVES people
Is great in the car
Is house trained
Seems to be neutral around cats
Adores puppies and has other play group friends

When a volunteer took him for a Doggy Day Out, we learned he LOVES riding in the car. Like wriggling around on his back LOVES. He's a funny guy.

This very sweet fellow is vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The shelter accepts dogs and cats and is also the depository for animals that have been picked-up by Gilmer County...
