DESCRIPTION
Milly Noon was brought to a Philly shelter after being found chained to a tree in a lot, where she had reportedly been left behind for weeks. With freezing temperatures and no one coming back for her, Milly was brought to safety so she could finally have the care and warmth she deserves.
in Philly, Milly has shown herself to be a gentle, affectionate girl who just needs a little time to feel secure. Initially she can be timid, but once she realizes she's safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She leans in for pets, nudges hands for more affection, and absolutely melts into snuggles. Volunteers describe her as incredibly loving-she'll slowly inch her way into your lap if given the chance and happily bury her nose into you during cuddle time.
On outings, Milly has done wonderfully. She walks nicely on leash, is very handler-oriented, and allowed all handling during her intake and even during her bath. After decompressing in a home environment, she showed off her playful side with tail wags and bursts of zoomies. She may benefit from a patient adopter who can help build her confidence, and potentially a calm dog friend to show her the ropes. Underneath her initial nervousness is a deeply affectionate, loyal companion ready to blossom.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
