MEET HENDRIX — HE'S READY FOR HIS CHANCE!
Sweet Hendrix came to us with a story similar to many dogs who simply weren't given the opportunity to know what love and kindness felt like.
Hendrix was part of the group of around 15 dogs we were called to help after Animal Control found them running loose near a property in Dickson. They had very little human interaction, were starving, and weren't sure what to think of people. But even through all that uncertainty, you could see there was a part of them that wanted to trust — they just needed someone willing to show them how.
Thankfully, every one of them was eventually caught and brought to safety, and Hendrix was finally given the chance to experience a different kind of life.
Since coming into our care, Hendrix has been making progress every day. He can be a little unsure at first, but his curiosity always seems to win. Give him some patience, a gentle approach, and of course a few treats, and you'll start to see the sweet boy underneath that uncertainty.
Hendrix does great with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. He's still working on becoming comfortable with the leash, but we know that with time, patience, and encouragement, he'll continue gaining confidence.
Hendrix may not understand everything about being someone's beloved pet just yet, but he's learning — and watching him discover that people can be kind makes every little step worth it.
Now he needs someone willing to take a chance on him and continue showing him just how wonderful life can be.
Come meet Hendrix and see if you could be the person he's been waiting for.
Have other dogs at home? Bring them along for a meet & greet!
