This opinionated gentleman takes some time to warm up to new people and thrives with gentle handling, making a calmer household with a predictable routine ideal for him. While he prefers quiet human companionship, he surprisingly thrives around other dogs; canine siblings are the ultimate key to his confidence and socialization! Moon Baby loves following other pups around, though he can be a bit protective of his food and bones. He is also a self-proclaimed toy kleptomaniac who delights in hoarding every available toy in his pen to play with on his own terms. Vocal, expressive, and ready to share all his opinions-especially at mealtimes or when you return home-he will keep you entertained every single day.
Because leash walking is very much a work in progress, Moon Baby is looking for a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can sunbathe to his heart's content (with proper supervision, of course, as he is a crafty flight risk). He is currently pee-pad trained and treats his kennel as his ultimate safe space, spending most of his time lounging happily inside and keeping it squeaky clean. Handling him requires patience; he currently prefers to be picked up-sometimes snug in a towel-to move around, and he appreciates a slow, gentle touch. The way to this cute boy's heart is simple: tasty chews, frozen food toys, other dog buddies, and a patient environment where he can blossom at his own pace.
