Teena is a young puppy who has been diagnosed with parvovirus (parvo), a serious and highly contagious viral disease that requires intensive supportive care, strict isolation, and close medical monitoring. Parvo can quickly become life-threatening, often causing severe dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea, and weakness. The level of treatment and supportive care required to properly manage this illness exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite this diagnosis, Teena is receiving supportive care and is doing her best while fighting this illness.
Teena needs a safe, compassionate placement where dedicated medical care, monitoring, and a low-stress environment can be provided to support recovery.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov
with your contact information so we can call you back.
