DESCRIPTION
Megan is a female dog in need of a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued medical care and support. She has lumbosacral stenosis and hip dysplasia, which may affect her mobility and comfort. She also has a possible urinary tract infection (UTI) and an elevated white blood cell count, which require further veterinary evaluation and appropriate treatment. Megan would benefit from a stable, supportive environment where she can receive follow-up veterinary care, diagnostic testing, and treatment for her orthopedic and medical concerns. With compassionate care and appropriate medical management, Megan has the opportunity to be more comfortable and enjoy a better quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov. ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
