DESCRIPTION
Maisie is a 6-year-old female dog who needs a rescue, foster, or adopter who can help provide continued medical care and support. She has entropion in her right eye, a condition where the eyelid turns inward, causing irritation and discomfort. Maisie will need surgery to correct this and prevent further pain or damage to her eye.
She would benefit from a calm, stable environment where she can receive follow-up veterinary care and any recommended treatment. With proper medical attention, Maisie has a great chance to feel much more comfortable and enjoy a better quality of life.
Please share Maisie’s information to help us find a rescue, foster, or adopter who can give her the care she needs. This pet is at risk for euthanasia. If you are interested in helping Maisie, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
