DESCRIPTION
Meet Esme, a 1-year-old pup who seems to have a calm and gentle nature! From our volunteer observations, Esme appears to be social with other dogs in a laid-back way and enjoys getting attention and going for walks. While she can be a bit timid at times, she's treat motivated and has shown a friendly, easy-going demeanor with staff. Come meet Esme today! Esme is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. Esme has been in shelter for over 30 days and would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner. Please dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. Please provide your full name and phone number.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
