DESCRIPTION
Cameron is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with a fractured right humerus (upper front leg) requiring surgical repair. Without prompt surgical intervention, he is at risk for ongoing pain, impaired mobility, improper healing, and additional complications. Surgical repair is recommended to stabilize the fracture, relieve his discomfort, and give him the best opportunity for a successful recovery. This level of specialized orthopedic surgical care and postoperative recovery support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Cameron remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Cameron needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt surgical evaluation, fracture repair, and appropriate postoperative recovery care to restore his comfort and mobility.
