Mixed Breed

June 16th

DESCRIPTION
Blue is a 3-year-old dog in need of placement with a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued care and support. He has entropion, a condition in which the eyelid rolls inward and can cause ongoing eye irritation and discomfort.
At this time, treatment has not been possible due to Blue's behavior in the shelter environment. A rescue or foster placement may provide the opportunity for further evaluation and care in a less stressful setting.
Blue is looking for a safe and supportive environment where his needs can be assessed and addressed. With appropriate care and management, he may have the opportunity for improved comfort and quality of life.
This animal is at risk for euthanasia. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
