** This puppy was noted to have an orthopedic abnormality on exam whereby he is unable to fully place either forepaw down in a normal position and instead walks on his toe tips. While the cause is currently unknown, the puppy was in a poor plane of nutrition on intake, which may have contributed to his condition. The shelter recommends provided high-quality puppy food, avoiding overfeeding, and continue to monitor under a veterinarian's care. While he may "grow out of" the issue, additional care may be needed.
