Sparco - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Cincinnati, Ohio

This is Sparco, he goes by Sparky for short. He's a shy guy who's incredibly loving with people, but can be timid at first, so it's best to use a lot of patience and time to allow him to open up. He's great with kids of all ages, including babies.
Sparco loves all the dog things - going to the dog park, playing fetch, tug of war, and so on. He also loves to cuddle up and be around people. With cats, he does best with gradual introductions on a leash to let both of them adjust to one another. He will otherwise get too excited and try to chase cats, which many of them won't appreciate!
Sparco likes other dogs and generally does well with them; however, he can be a bit protective over toys and treats that he thinks are his. Slow introductions and carefully managing resources are key to successfully integrating Sparco into a home with other dogs. We would be happy to facilitate a meet-and-greet at the shelter first to get a good first impression with your dog(s)!
Sparco can become anxious when left alone, so he is looking for an adopter willing to help him work on this and continue the progress he’s already making.
