Zoey - Mixed Breed and Coonhound Dog for Adoption in Chickasha, Oklahoma

Meet Zoey!

Zoey is a sweet 2-year-old girl with a gentle, mild temperament. She is a very shy girl, but she really wants to be brave and is slowly learning that the world isn’t so scary!

Zoey can be nervous around hyper dogs, but once she has time to get comfortable, she starts to come out of her shell. She is wonderful in her kennel and would love a patient home that will give her the time and encouragement she needs to build confidence. She isn’t very treat motivated, but her sweet personality makes her worth getting to know! If you think Zoey could be your girl, we’d love to hear from you!

The Coonhound is a versatile and athletic breed known for its exceptional hunting abilities and loyalty. With a strong sense of smell and impressive tracking skills, Coonhounds are often used for hunting raccoons and other game. This breed is friendly, outgoing, and makes a devoted companion for an active family. Coonhounds come in different varieties, including the Black and Tan Coonhound, Redbone Coonhound, and Treeing Walker Coonhound, each with its own unique characteristics and qualities.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
