DESCRIPTION

Meet Figgy — our sweet little Figgy Puddin’!
This plump, happy Terrier mix is full of love, wiggles, and second chances. Figgy came to us from a rural Virginia shelter after her disabled owner had to move into a care facility. We were told she had not been walked or spent much time outside for more than eight months, but she is already making wonderful progress.
Originally weighing 52 pounds, Figgy has lost a few pounds and is now joyfully running around, chasing stuffed toys, and soaking up affection. She still needs to lose about 10 more pounds, so her ideal home will include regular exercise, structure, and no table scraps.
We were told Figgy is dog-friendly, though she is currently very excited when meeting other dogs at the foster farm, so slow introductions would be best. She would make a loving, loyal, and protective companion for someone ready to help her continue her glow-up.
Figgy is currently in Ivor, Virginia, but can be transported to Virginia Beach and surrounding areas for a meet-and-greet if needed.
Please email Beth at beth@rwtowne.com or text her at 757-620-4673 if you are interested in Figgy.
A few notes regarding Figgy's profile:
- She is not up to date on her shots at the moment but will be in the near future
- Special needs: as mentioned, she does need to lose a bit more weight for better health
- Kids: she did great with kids that were 10 years old and we'd recommend that age and up, as she might be too much for younger kids.
- Cats & dogs: she was reported to be good with both but, since she was rescued, she has shown too much excitment when meeting dogs and has not been exposed to cats by us.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
