Lesta is an easy-button 40lb velvet hippo with the heart of a saint! This sweet-natured and gentle girl was the victim of cruelty and neglect, and she is finally free and now available to land the loving home she deserves.
Lesta has been living the good life in a foster home since August 2025 (she was not available for adoption until just this week) and she has been passing all the "good-girl" tests with flying colors. Today, her true spirit shines brightly -- "easy-peasy" is this girl’s life motto.
She is:
4 years old and a perfect 40-pounds who is crate, house/potty trained.
Wonderful with all humans & children. She is a snuggly girl who will conform to any shape to be near her human!
Low to medium energy. She loves a little backyard romp with her friends (with a short sprint for fun), and also enjoys neighborhood walks and strolls through the park.
100% Dog friendly. She easily makes friends with pushy dogs, bigger dogs, smaller dogs, tiny puppies. Cats are unknown but her sweet personality indicates that she’d be fine with a well-matched cat.
Health: Since she just got released from court hold, she still needs to be spayed (scheduled for April) and will then go through HW treatment. Her current foster has committed to both but her new family can easily see her through this process if they prefer.
Other amazing qualities: Super easy on a leash (very little pulling and no reactivity), patio dog in training, she doesn’t bark much, nice house manners, and she loves her hoodie collection
Fun Fact: She helped raise a 7-week-old puppy, caring for him like he was her own with patience and kindness. And now that he’s 6 months old and a total terror, she is just as amazing with him!
