Ethyl is a beauty with white fur and golden-brown eyes. She's gentle and nervous and overwhelmed in the shelter. When she first came into the shelter, she was literally shaking and her teeth were chattering. She's 63 lbs and about 4 years old and must have had a home once so it's no wonder she's terrified. With a little patience and time, she's starting to open up. We've already seen signs of it. Out with volunteers for her photo session she responded well to baby talk. She walked up to one volunteer and leaned up to her from behind. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a shy, shut down dog come to life with a little kindness.
